The fashion house Rochas, founded by Marcel Rochas in 1925 in Paris, was already highly celebrated 1931 by American Vogue.

Rocha’s clients included many stars from France and Hollywood, including Marlene Dietrich and Carole Lombard.

Jean Cocteau, Paul Poiret and Christina Bérard have designed as fashion creators for the traditional French fashion house. Rochas has brought into womenswear the wasp waist corset, mermaid silhouette and modern swimsuit fabric.

Marcel Rochas was named “Designer of the Youth”. His designs were considered sporty-innovative, but very feminine. Rochas has also become well-known for his perfumes, designed by renowned perfumers, but he gave up his couture line.

After the death of Marcel Rochas, his wife Helene Rochas took over the management until she sold the company in the 70s.

Olivier Theyskens and Marco Zanini, Chief Designer at Dolche & Gabbana, have designed for Rochas. Loyal customers base includs world stars such as Nicole Kidman and Madonna.

In 2013, the new fashion era started when Alessandro Dell’Acqua took over creative direction. Alessandro Dell’Acqua has proven himself as an extremely talented designer at Malo and Brioni and his own brand.
