ALEXANDRE VAUTHIER

Before founding his own label in 2009 under his name Alexandre Vauthier, Vauthier worked in Thierry Mugler’s studio. There he learned how to deal with fabric and its details.

Afterwards he was the chief designer of Jean Paul Gaultier’s couture collections and then after 8 years at Gaultier decided to found his own label.

His radical cutouts and slits collaborate with the extreme femininity and focus on body emphasis in his designs. He draws much of his inspiration from French fashion culture. His designs often border on couture and are still ready to wear parts.
